IVRY (Independent Verification of Research Yield) is committed to protecting the privacy of every student and professor who uses our service. This policy outlines what we collect, how we use it, and the controls available to you.
IVRY measures behavioural metadata only — the proportion of pasted characters, the proportion of pasted content subsequently removed, and the distribution of typing speed. The actual contents of your document are never transmitted to or stored by IVRY.
Tracking only begins when you actively select an assignment from the IVRY popup inside Microsoft Word. Closing the popup or selecting "Cancel" prevents any session from being recorded.
Students see qualitative feedback about their composition patterns. Professors of the courses they are enrolled in can see numeric metrics for their assignments only. No third party receives your data.
You can request export or deletion of your behavioural records at any time by contacting support.
